Exercise
Exercise is essential for all persons of all ages on a regular basis
  • Choose an exercise activity that you like and exercise regularly i.e. walking, jogging, cycling, swimming and dancing
  • Try to exercise with a family member or a friend
  • Change the exercise to avoid boredom.
 
 
Recommended exercise regime  
  • 30 minutes continuous exercise 5 times a week or more - Good
  • 30 minutes continuous exercise  at least 3 times per week - adequate
  • 30 minutes continuous exercise less than 3 time per week  - inadequate
  • Children need to engage in active play for at least 1 hr per day
 
     
 
Sedentary activities such as sleeping, reading, computer and watching TV should be restricted and interspersed with active pursuit.
